A high-speed chase occurred early this morning in the Jodabagan area of Central Avenue when traffic police observed a car speeding recklessly. The vehicle, which was coming from Bangaon, caught the attention of officers due to its excessive speed and erratic driving. After a brief pursuit, the car was stopped near the Girish Park turn.
When the vehicle was halted, the driver exited and began arguing with the traffic officer. The altercation escalated into a physical confrontation. The police then conducted a breathalyzer test on the driver, which confirmed that he was driving under the influence of alcohol. As a result, the driver was arrested, and the vehicle was seized by authorities.
The arrested driver was taken into custody and transported to the Girish Park police station for further legal proceedings. The car, along with the driver, is now part of an ongoing investigation. The identity of the driver has not yet been disclosed. The authorities are continuing to monitor such incidents and take appropriate action to enforce traffic laws in the area.
